Traffic observation cameras from GovComm: See roadway flow & incidents in real time
Every roadway location is different. GovComm traffic observation cameras give agencies the flexibility to monitor each location with the right view, whether that calls for high-resolution coverage, long-range nighttime visibility, or fixed monitoring.
GovComm offers three pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) options and one fixed bullet camera, allowing agencies to match each site to the right combination of field of view, zoom, image detail, low-light visibility, and form factor.
Purpose-built for traffic observation, GovComm cameras provide agencies and DOTs with the visual context needed to understand incidents, assess congestion, and support faster operational decisions. The lineup is Build America, Buy America compliant and backed by a three-year limited warranty.
Why choose GovComm traffic observation cameras?
All GovComm traffic observation cameras are NEMA TS2-tested for design, performance, and environmental durability, ensuring reliable real-world operation.
GovComm cameras are compatible with arm, pole, wall, and candy-cane mounting options, helping agencies fit installations to each roadway site.
Built for harsh roadside environments, GovComm cameras deliver reliable performance in extreme temperatures, severe weather, and demanding field conditions
Applications
On high-speed corridors, operators need to understand what is happening quickly and from a distance. GovComm traffic observation cameras help agencies track congestion, confirm crashes or disabled vehicles, monitor ramps and shoulders, and assess conditions across interchanges and long highway segments. Bullet and PTZ cameras provide targeted or wide-area coverage, while high-resolution imaging, powerful zoom, low-light visibility, multiple video streams, and NEMA TS2 testing support dependable performance in demanding highway environments.
At intersections, small changes in traffic patterns can create significant operational impacts. GovComm traffic observation cameras help agencies observe queues, turning movements, crosswalk activity, signal operations, and potential conflict points in real time. Preset positioning and PTZ control make it easier to shift between approaches or review a complex intersection from multiple angles, while high-resolution imaging and low-light capability provide useful visual context throughout the day.

GovComm traffic observation cameras: See more on key corridors
GovComm traffic observation cameras give agencies a clear view of changing roadway conditions. Built for outdoor use, they are NEMA TS2-tested and designed to operate in the harshest conditions, including temperatures from -40°F to 140°F. All GovComm cameras are Build America, Buy America compliant and come with a three-year warranty.
The lineup includes one bullet camera for focused observation and PTZ options for broader corridor coverage. Agencies can choose the right camera for each site, whether the job calls for 8-megapixel detail, 40x optical zoom, or long-range low-light illumination up to 1,968 feet.
Deployment is flexible, too. PTZ cameras are available with mounting arms, pole mounts or candy-cane mounts to fit the location, while an optional lowering device connector enables safer ground-level maintenance. Lowering device not available from GovComm. The bullet camera includes a junction box and pole mount.
