GovComm Strategic Initiatives For Intelligent Transportation System Infrastructure Technology

GovComm plans for 2015 include further research, development and deployment of advanced transportation infrastructure technologies.

MIAMI – Jan. 5, 2015 – PRLog — GovComm’s vision of the future for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) are closely tied to the United States economy and the initiatives of the administration. In 2014, GovComm announced the roll-out of our ITS camera lines for traffic monitoring, detection and license plate recognition as well as our smart cameras for train carriage cargo and container recognition.  GovComm dynamic message displays provide travelers and transporters with vital information that promotes operational strategies that reduce the impact of congestion-causing incidents and bottlenecks.  In summary, GovComm ITS products support effective traffic incident management, traveler and traffic information systems and arterial and corridor management systems.

To retain our economic competitiveness, GovComm plans to make strategic investments that enable the movement of people and goods more efficiently with full utilization of the existing capacity across all transportation modes, as well as a focus on creating new opportunities in both domestic and foreign markets for transportation-related goods and services.

supply chain based on efficient performance and consistent reliability. This means that there will be continued growth in international air traffic and more goods and services transported from within the country to ports and across national borders. Freight tonnage is forecast to increase but the majority of these goods, particularly high-value, small packages, will move by air and truck.

In 2015, GovComm will promote operational strategies that reduce the impact of congestion-causing incidents and bottlenecks including the use of effective traffic incident management, traveler and traffic information systems, and arterial and corridor management systems.  GovComm will further promote research, development and deployment of advanced vehicle-to-infrastructure communication technologies.
